"Callithump" is by far one of the best Paperboys' products so far...We have been fans for more than 10 years and this CD has been outstanding! Tom and the band have put forth an incredible sound and soul that unless you've been to a live concert, you would only be able to experience on a recorded level from this effort. We are so proud to call them friends and exquisite musicians.
Go out and buy this CD of the best representative music you will play over and over again...

Thanks Tom and the band for an amazing concert at John Lawson on Friday. I don't think I've ever seen a better concert, paid or free. And Tom, you said something at the end of the evening that meant a lot to me. You said something like " on such a beautiful night, in a setting like this, there is no reason in the world to worry about anything". That put some current issues into perspective for me and I just wanted to say thank you! for that.

What a great concert last night at Providence Farm in Duncan - wow the warm pouring rain and the lightening show reinforced this night to be memorable forever. Loved seeing Kalissa Hernandez on stage with the band. Wonder if this is a new permanent position? She was hot! Thanks for making the festival live on in our minds.

Hey guys,
We're still holding out to win the lottery and trek to Canmore but we realize that this is not overly likely.
So........in addition to holding our breathe until your tour lists an Ontario date, we decided this evening that if you are playing somewhere in San Francisco in the future, we'll kill two birds with one stone and do the SF trip we've often talked about in conjunction with coming to see you play.
Any plans for an Ontario OR San Francisco gig in the foreseeable future?????

My wife and I have been following you ever since I "discovered" the Paperboys at the Tractor Tavern in the summer of '97 or '98. We caught your show a couple times in Ann Arbor and Toledo when we lived in Michigan. We have all your CD's and Loved your 'Road' ablum. Keep them coming please! We moved to Florida a year ago... So, I'm thinking Paperboys on the Beach! Thanks for all your music, it is much loved!

Just wanted to say thanks for all the recent comments. Our tour of Ireland and England was a great success and we had a great time with ya'll. We are already planning our return and we'll keep you posted on that. In the meantime stay tuned for news on the release of our new CD 'Callithump'.

Just saw them for the first time in Bedford and was blown away. There were 100 of us packed into a small club and the atmosphere, music and sound were terrific. Just loved every minute and cannot wait to see them again. Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant....

As the person mixing the sound at Alnwick on the 16th May, I feel I should defend the criticism I see below.
Yes the drums did dominate at times, I asked the drummer early into the first set if he could play lighter and he did. Live drums are loud and there are times there is nothing that can be done about this. The fiddle and flute where in the balance of the mix when they needed to be and brought forward when required. The backing vocals were blended nicely into the mix, from the mix position they were clearly audible.
This band is excellent at what they do and a pleasure to work with, they were happy and I really enjoyed mixing the gig. But I am afraid it is impossible to please all of the people all of the time, having been a professional sound engineer for 20 years this much I have learnt. The opportunity for those who think they can do better to forward their CV’s is always available.

Hi there, my wife dragged me along to see you in Whitchurch on Friday night as she likes folk music, I have not enjoyed an evening out so much in ages, thank you. I would say your much more than a folk band I think it will be hard to tell my friends what you are as you played such different types of music. Thank-you all so much for yet another fantastic show at Whitchurch last night and I can assure you, I left as one very happy 16-year-old afterwards! Tom, I am now kicking myself because, when I spoke to you during the break, I forgot to say a big, big thank-you for Primavera and Fragile, my favourite of your Spanish songs I knew before the night. "Watched a paper plane land in a field of gold" is one of my favourite Paperboys line of all time so Comfort and Kind also made me very happy! I hope to see you guys again really soon, and I'm sure my dad would echo this =] .

You were an inspiration to us when we saw you at Brampton Live! three years ago and your music has been a part of our lives ever since.
Sorry to have to criticise now ,but......whatever happened to the sound balance in Alnwick last night?? The harmony vocals were almost inaudible - particularly in the final acappella number - and the fine fiddle and flute playing was frequently lost, swamped by the dominating drumming.
Good to hear some great new songs and looking forward to the new album.

Still no visa in sight, but I got a letter this April, it might work out this year ;) So I hope to see you in September! I will be in Canada for the whole month of June, unfortunately I will not be able to make it to the West Coast :(

Just caught you guys for the first time, at The Musician, in Leicester, England. Absolutely loved your set and it was a pleasure to be introduced to you and what you do - weird n wonderfull :-) Bought the "Tenure" and "Road to Ellenside" CD's and I'll be coming along next time you tour the UK. Sorry if we are a bit reserved in Leicester, but that doesn't mean we don't appreciate quality roots music - Tom's extended regae meanderings were a hoot! Next time I'll drag along some mates, drink a few beers and show you that we can dance!
